TeleTherapy

Therapy enters the 21st century. A secure, HIPAA compliant, internet-based, video platform that eliminates the need to travel to the office. This is not just for the tech savvy.

Telehealth is an exciting development that merges traditional health care services, including psychotherapy, with modern technology.  While many see this as a new development, it has actually been around for many years.  In 1959, doctors first used two-way TV images to communicate between sites interactively.

Of course, technology has come a long way since those early days and interactive communication is now available in the privacy of our homes via computer, tablet, or even smart phones.

Office Safety Precautions in Effect During the Pandemic

Our office is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

  • Seating in the waiting room and in therapy rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.

  • Our staff maintains safe distancing and wears masks when distancing cannot be maintained.

  • Restroom soap dispensers are maintained for hand washing. We recommend washing for 30 seconds.

  • Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available for use in all rooms and common areas.

  • We encourage all patients to wait in their cars or outside until their appointment times.

  • Office staff take everyone’s temperature upon arrival.

  • Contact surfaces and areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized on a regular basis.

  • Physical contact is not permitted.

  • Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.

In compliance with the rules of the Texas State Board of Examiner's of Psychologists, the procedures for filing complaints with the Board can be accessed by clicking the document link.
